Distributed Bragg Reflector Based on Plasmonic Ag: Plasma Polymer Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a comprehensive approach for the optical design and validation of silver nanocomposite‐based Distributed Bragg Reflectors (DBRs). It describes deriving material properties (n, k) and using them to predict the performance of the deposited optical stack, as well as to characterize imperfections in the DBR deposition, or even to ...

Enhancing Triplet Excitons Lifetime Through Controlled Intermolecular Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Singlet fission (SF) is investigated in pentacene embedded in a surface‐anchored metal–organic framework, enabling a molecular arrangement inaccessible in pure organic crystals. This architecture changes the singlet fission dynamics significantly and enhances the triplet lifetime by almost four orders of magnitude.

Incorporating Si into Sb2Se3: Tailoring Optical Phase Change Materials via Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We study the structural, optical, and thermal effects of adding silicon to Sb2Se3 and demonstrate that the as‐deposited solid solution phase segregates after electro‐thermal switching, creating a nanocomposite with effective‐medium properties and a phase‐change response.

Selective Crystal Growth and Optical Responses of 2H and 3R Polytypes in van der Waals Polar Insulator α‐In2Se3

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Selective growth protocols are established to obtain high‐quality bulk single crystals of the 2H and 3R polytypes of the vdW polar insulator α‐In2Se3, together with rapid, non‐destructive phase‐identification methods. Combined optical transmission and absolute reflectivity measurements, supported by DFT calculations, reveal distinct polytype‐dependent ...

Enhancement of the Ultraviolet Stability of Perovskite Solar by the Interface Modified with Cesium Chloride

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
CsCl interface modification promotes perovskite growth and suppresses recombination, boosting n–i–p perovskite solar cells (PSC) efficiency from 21.21% to 23.73% and enhancing UV stability fourfold, offering a simple route to efficient, stable PSCs. Stability is an important factor affecting the application of perovskite solar cells (PSCs).
