Preparation and Characterization of Solution-Processed Nanocrystalline p-Type CuAlO2 Thin-Film Transistors

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2018
The development of p-type metal oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) is far behind the n-type counterparts. Here, p-type CuAlO2 thin films were deposited by spin coating and annealed in nitrogen atmosphere at different temperature.

Phase Evolution Kinetics in Additive‐Free 19.75% Organic Photovoltaics Empowered by Solvent Vapor Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solvent vapor annealing enables kinetic control of additive‐free morphology in organic solar cells. Selective plasticization of acceptor forms an optimal fibrillar network, boosting efficiency to 19.06% (binary) and 19.75% (ternary), with ultrafast exciton dissociation and reduced recombination.

Photoconductivity in self-assembled CuO thin films

open access: yesMaterials for Renewable and Sustainable Energy
Self-assembly is the most promising low-cost and high-throughput methodology for nanofabrication. This paper reports the optimization of a self-assembly process at room temperature for the growth of copper oxide (CuO) based nanostructures over a copper ...

Quality Analysis of Photovoltaic System Using Descriptive Statistics of Power Performance Index

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The performance evaluation (PE) of the Photovoltaic(PV) system is an index representing the efficiency and reliability of the system. Most PE indicators evaluate the ratio of theoretically calculated power generation to actually measured power generation.

Powering Nanocrystal‐Based Heat Engines With Light‐Emitting Metasurfaces That Influence Their Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

Ultra low-power photovoltaic MPPT technique for indoor and outdoor wireless sensor nodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Photovoltaic (PV) energy harvesting is commonly used to power wireless sensor nodes. To optimise harvesting efficiency, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques are often used.

Evaluating the impact of thermal annealing on c-Si/Al2O3 interface: Correlating electronic properties to infrared absorption

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
Al2O3 is the standard for the passivation of p-type PERC (Passivated Emitter Rear Contact) solar cells. It is well established that the thin interfacial silicon oxide layer in between Al2O3 and c-Si plays a key role in its surface passivation mechanism ...

Advancing Tandem Organic Solar Cells With Ternary Acceptor Control for High‐Power Modules and Solar‐to‐Ammonia Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tandem organic solar cells with optimized ternary acceptor engineering achieved a power conversion efficiency of 15.53% and enabled a high‐voltage mini‐module (Voc 6.11 V). Integration into a bias‐free PV‐EC system further demonstrated efficient solar‐to‐ammonia (STA) conversion (97% Faradaic Efficiency, 4± 2% STA efficiency), highlighting scalable ...
