An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,

Optimal Photovoltaic Array Configuration under Non-Uniform Laser Beam Conditions for Laser Wireless Power Transmission

open access: yesPhotonics
In a long-distance wireless power transmission system with a non-uniform distribution of laser irradiation, it will significantly reduce the output power of the photovoltaic array, resulting in a large amount of power loss in the system and a decrease in

Nanoscale Mapping of Plasmonic Charge Transport in Nano‐Resonators Based on Resistive Switching Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this strategy, a conductive nano‐probe is employed to induce nanoscale phase transitions and map the nanoscale conductivity and trap density of GST films. By utilizing the contrasting properties of phase‐change states, nano‐resonators are fabricated that exhibit plasmonic conduction and dramatically different transport characteristics.

Vacuum ultraviolet photovoltaic arrays

open access: yesPhotonics Research, 2018
As one of the ideal tools for monitoring the formation and evolution of solar storms, the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) detector should have both a fast temporal response and an array structure that enables image formation. Here, by combining a nontraditional graphene processing technique with traditional metal organic chemical vapor deposition epitaxy ...
