Photovoltaic-thermoelectric modules: A feasibility study

2014 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC) Proceedings, 2014
In this paper a hybrid solar system made with photovoltaic cells and thermoelectric modules has been analyzed. The theoretical energy conversion and the performance parameters have been investigated and compared with respect to design and geographic location using a simulated model.

Compact Electrothermal Macromodeling of Photovoltaic Modules

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2009
This brief presents an original compact electrothermal macromodel of a photovoltaic module composed of a large number of series-connected solar cells. The model is able to properly incorporate the effect of a uniform temperature increase over the module as well as the presence of temperature gradients along the cells.

The High-Concentrator Photovoltaic Module

2015
High-concentrator photovoltaic (HCPV) modules incorporate solar cells, optical devices, cooling mechanisms, and other elements in an assembly to provide the functions required to concentrate sunlight and obtain electricity. The variety of designs for configuring HCPV modules is introduced in this chapter.

Photovoltaic Module to Module Monitoring System

2018 IEEE 7th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC) (A Joint Conference of 45th IEEE PVSC, 28th PVSEC & 34th EU PVSEC), 2018
A PV plant monitoring system, which is able to detect faults in individual modules is presented. The system is divided in two parts: A control unit for the whole PV plant and a measuring circuit connected in parallel to each PV module. The measuring circuit is able to disturb the working point of the module and measuring this perturbation estimate the ...

CuInSe2 photovoltaic modules

Solar Cells, 1991
Abstract This paper reviews the status of CuInSe 2 (CIS) module development. The potential of CIS for high power, thin film photovoltaic modules is demonstrated by the achievement of 14.1% active area cell efficiencies and unlaminated module power outputs of 10.5 W (11.2% aperture efficiency) on 940 cm 2 modules and 37.8 W (9.7% aperture efficiency)

The AC photovoltaic module

Conference Record of the Twenty Fifth IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference - 1996, 1996
This paper describes the design, development and performance of a large-area photovoltaic module whose electrical output is AC power suitable for direct connection to the utility grid. The AC PV module, developed with support from the US DOE and NREL under the PV:BONUS Program, incorporates a dedicated, integrally mounted, high-efficiency 250 Watt DC ...

Modelling the photovoltaic module

2011 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2011
This paper refers into various ways in simulation the Photovoltaic (PV) module behaviour under any combination of solar irradiation and ambient temperature. There are three different approaches presented here briefly and one of them is chosen because of its good accuracy and relatively low computational time.

Generalized SPICE model of photovoltaic modules

2015 22nd International Conference Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits & Systems (MIXDES), 2015
In the present paper, a generalized SPICE simulation model of photovoltaic modules is developed, valid for operating conditions of solar irradiance and temperature different from nominal conditions. An extraction procedure for model parameter determination is proposed using datasheet characteristics of the modules.
