Low Conductivity Decay of Sn–0.7Cu–0.2Zn Photovoltaic Ribbons for Solar Cell Application

open access: yesMicromachines, 2019
The present study applied Sn−0.7Cu−0.2Zn alloy solders to a photovoltaic ribbon. Intermetallic compounds of Cu6Sn5 and Ag3Sn formed at the Cu/solder/Ag interfaces of the module after reflow.

3D-thermal modelling of a bifacial agrivoltaic system: a photovoltaic module perspective

open access: yesEnergy Nexus, 2022
This study presents a 3D computational fluid dynamic model to evaluate the temperature distribution and energy performances of a vertical bifacial photovoltaic module for agrivoltaic applications. This last is compared to a conventionally tilted bifacial

Ferroelectric Polarization Enabled Threshold Voltage Modulation in High Electron Mobility Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A comprehensive model is developed to capture the coupled electrostatics of a ferroelectric capacitor and a metal‐insulator‐semiconductor high electron mobility transistor (MISHEMT) connected in ferroelectric‐metal high electron mobility transistor (FeMHEMT) configuration.

Ultrafast Thermal Shock Synthesis of CuNiSnLa Medium‐Entropy Metallic Glass for Sustainable Nitrogen Fixation via Plasma‐Coupled Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces an ultrafast thermal shock strategy to synthesize a CuNiSnLa medium‐entropy metallic glass (MEMG). The rapid heating and cooling process generates a robust, highly active catalyst for electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia (NRA).

The Outdoor Field Test and Energy Yield Model of the Four-Terminal on Si Tandem PV Module

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The outdoor field test of the 4-terminal on Si tandem photovoltaic module (specifically, InGaP/GaAs on Si) was investigated and a performance model, considering spectrum change affected by fluctuation of atmospheric parameters, was developed and ...

A Probabilistic Ensemble Prediction Method for PV Power in the Nonstationary Period

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Due to the large number of grid connection of distributed power supply, the existing scheduling methods can not meet the demand gradually. The proposed virtual power plant provides a new idea to solve this problem.

Unusual Temperature‐Enhanced Bulk Photovoltaic Effect Beyond the Centrosymmetric Phase in CuCrP2S6 van der Waals Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Contrary to conventional expectations, the bulk photovoltaic effect in CuCrP2S6 is enhanced rather than suppressed upon transitioning into the crystallographically centrosymmetric phase. Dynamic Cu‐ion disorder creates transient polar states, which substantially amplifies zero‐bias photocurrent (shift‐current) generation, establishing dynamic symmetry ...

Tailored Diketopyrrolopyrrole Derivatives for Efficient Deep‐Red Organic Lasers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tailored diketopyrrolopyrrole derivatives exhibit high stable amplified spontaneous emission with single or dual bands. Incorporated into distributed‐feedback lasers based on one‐ and two‐dimensional dichromated‐gelatin diffractive gratings, these materials provide a robust, flexible platform for integrated organic deep‐red light sources. ABSTRACT Deep‐

Network Topology Governs Photocatalytic Water Splitting in Organic Two‐Dimensional Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Network topology in organic two‐dimensional crystals (O2DCs) dictates the photocatalytic water splitting performance. Kagome‐lattice O2DCs exhibit strong electron‐hole mass asymmetry, spatially separated carriers, and longer recombination lifetimes, exceeding rhombic isomers.
