Perovskite‐based time‐domain signal‐balancing LiDAR sensor with centimeter depth resolution

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
In this study, we present a monolithic high‐speed perovskite‐based photodetector capable of directly sensing the time delay between two light pulses with a temporal resolution of at least 170 ps. This outstanding time resolution is achieved through a signal‐balancing detection scheme that effectively overcomes the limitations of conventional ...

Urban Heat Island in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East: Multi‐City Approach in Regional Climate Modelling

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
This study presents that the WRF model, coupled with bulk urban parameterization, effectively captures the summer urban heat island (UHI) patterns across the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East, showing stronger night‐time surface UHIs (5°C–6°C) and daytime surface cool islands (up to 12.5°C).

Dipole‐Quadrupole Model and Multipole Analysis of Resonant Membrane Metasurfaces

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Membrane metasurfaces, arrays of holes in a dielectric membrane, are appealing because they require no substrate and allow access to resonant near‐fields. However, developing a comprehensive theoretical description for them remains challenging. We introduce a semi‐analytical dipole‐quadrupole approach to analyze their resonant spectra at arbitrary ...

IV Tracer For Photovoltaic Panel

2021 7th International Conference on Engineering, Applied Sciences and Technology (ICEAST), 2021
A device used for measuring the current-voltage characteristic of the photovoltaic panel has been developed. The circuit is built with the STM32F103C8, Arm based 32-bit microcontroller. The power MOSFET is used as the electronic load. The electronic load is controlled by varying the gate-source voltage between 0 to +3V.

Modeling of Photovoltaic Panels

2018 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE), 2018
Through the photovoltaic effect, photovoltaic cells convert solar energy into electrical energy. Photovoltaic cells are connected in series to reach the desired voltage (around 700-1000V DC), then parallel in order to obtain a higher current (8-16 A). The photovoltaic cells must be used at their maximum power point.
