Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Comprehensive benefit optimization method for photovoltaic inverters participating in distribution network loss reduction by reactive compensation

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
When a large number of distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems are integrated into the distribution network, power flow becomes bidirectionally fluctuating, resulting in variable line losses.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Highly‐Emissive Organic Photovoltaics Approaching Theoretical Limit Voltage and Enabling Multifunctional Energy‐Harvesting Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A highly‐emissive organic photovoltaic employs donor–acceptor pairs with alternately localized frontier molecular orbitals, preserving high triplet energies and small reorganization energies to suppress non‐radiative recombination. As a result, it exhibits a high open‐circuit voltage approaching the Shockley–Queisser limit and a high ...

Experimental investigation of a 10 kW photovoltaic power system and lithium battery energy storage system for off-grid electro-hydrogen coupling

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The burgeoning adoption of photovoltaic and wind energy has limitations of volatility and intermittency, which hinder their application. Electro-hydrogen coupling energy storage systems emerge as a promising solution to address this issue.

Electric Power Generation from Solar Photovoltaic Technology: Is It Marketable in Pakistan? [PDF]

open access: yes
Solar photovoltaic systems are prohibitively expensive in terms of installation costs. Power from them is also available intermittently—only when energy from the sun is available.
