New Perspectives on Semiconducting Conjugated Oligomers for Neuromodulation in Hydra vulgaris

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Semiconducting organic compounds, thiophene‐based, modify the rhythmic electrical activity of the cnidarian Hydra vulgaris acting on specific neuronal circuits. The ETE‐S trimer also forms electronically conducting wires in the living tissues of the animal.

Direct Evidence of the Presence of Hybrid Charge Transfer State in a Perovskite Nanocrystal‐Polythiophene Blend Solid State Film

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The photophysical properties of a hybrid solid state film, composed of a conjugated polymer and CsPbBr3 (zwitterionic sulfobetaine ‐capped) perovskite nanocrystals (NCs), are investigated by ultrafast spectroscopy and morphological characterization. The transient spectroscopy highlights the presence at the interface of a charge transfer state, and the ...

Crystallographic Insights into the Structural Heterogeneities of 2D Ruddlesden‐Popper Perovskite Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
2D Ruddlesden‐Popper phase perovskite (RPP) films for applications in photovoltaics are shown to exhibit structural heterogeneities at both microscopic and mesoscopic scales that can affect cross‐film charge carrier transport. The mechanisms of RPP film formation and the possible means to control film structure to optimize 2D perovskite solar cell ...

Stabilizing TiO2/CsPbI2Br Perovskite Buried Interface for All‐Inorganic Perovskite toward Highly Efficient Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Polyvinyl pyrrolidone passivation enhances TiO2/CsPbI2Br interfaces, suppressing recombination and improving photodetector performance with faster response, higher photoresponsivity, and superior detectivity. Abstract Inorganic perovskites hold immense promise for optoelectronic applications, but their performance is often hindered by defects and trap ...

A‐Site Cationic Variation to Expand the Sacrificial Layer AVO3 Family Dissolving in Water

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The visual art depicts atoms dissolving in water, symbolizing the etching of Sr1‐xCaxVO3 thin films. This study demonstrates a new family of water‐soluble materials, expanding the lattice parameter range available for epitaxial growth on sacrificial layers.
