Atomic‐Scale Mechanisms of Nucleation and Stabilization in CuCrO2 and CuFeO2 Delafossite Thin Films on Al2O3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
In this work, a combination of 4D STEM phase reconstructions via iterative electron ptychography, spectroscopy, and conventional STEM imaging reveals detailed insights into the nucleation mechanism for the stable growth of Cu‐based delafossites on Al2O3 using CuCrO2 and CuFeO2 films grown via MBE as examples.

Development of ZnO Buffer Layers for As‐Doped CdSeTe/CdTe Solar Cells with Efficiency Exceeding 20%

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Highly resistive ZnO has been used as the buffer layer in As‐doped CdSeTe/CdTe solar cells to achieve efficiencies higher than 20%. STEM images and EDX mapping show that the quality of the front interface is dependent on the ZnO deposition temperature. Unusually, chlorine is not observed at the front interface using EDX when the ZnO is deposited at 100

Streamlined Inkjet‐Printing of Stretchable Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work introduces stretchable photodetectors fully inkjet‐printed on stretchable substrates. It is demonstrated that printed stiff platforms effectively decouple strain from the stretched substrate and serve as a chemically resistant and mechanically rigid platform.

Wavelength‐Selective, High‐Speed, Self‐Powered Isotype Heterojunction n+‐ZnO/n‐Si Photodetector with Engineered and Tunable Spectral Response

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Wavelength‐selective ZnO/Si photodetectors, operating with no power supply. Engineering of the constituting materials converts them from white‐light sensitive to only NIR‐sensitive. When external power is applied, the wavelength selectivity of the devices can be tuned to different spectral ranges.

Progress in Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells: Paving the Way for Scalable Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are well positioned for a successful market uptake. This is due to an unprecedented improvement of their efficiency and stability since the first report in 2009. In this review paper, the building blocks for the scalable manufacturing and future commercialization of flexible PSCs and their pathway to impact will be ...

An Overall Distribution Particle Swarm Optimization MPPT Algorithm for Photovoltaic System Under Partial Shading

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019
Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems under partial shading conditions (PSCs) have a nonmonotonic P –V characteristic with multiple local maximum power points, which makes the existing maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms unsatisfactory performance ...

SIMULATION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS

International Journal of Solar Energy, 1990
Abstract Seasonal and temporal unbalanced demands of electric power are increasing year after year. While an even demand from the load must be maintained in order for the development of a typical solar power generation system for an ordinary usage in the near future, the most important aspect is to develop a low-cost system.
