An AI‐Supported Pedagogical Architecture to Foster Self‐Regulated Learning in Virtual Environments

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, Volume 34, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study reports on the design, implementation, and evaluation of an AI‐Supported Pedagogical Architecture (PA) aimed at fostering Self‐Regulated Learning (SRL) within a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The architecture was integrated into the Moodle platform and applied in an introductory Python course.

Enhancement of Nanoscale Electronic Properties of Wide‐Bandgap Halide Perovskite by Post‐Hot Pressing Under Optimized Humidity

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
Scanning probe microscopy is used for nanoscale photovoltaic characterisations. The photocurrent proportionally increases when relative humidity is raised. RH 60% shows a higher photocurrent in the compact GB sample. Optimising humidity in engineering the grain boundary chemistry is recommended.

Flow‐suppressed 2D spin‐echo imaging with high tolerance to B1 inhomogeneity using hyperbolic secant pulses

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 1, Page 172-187, January 2026.
Abstract Purpose To demonstrate flow‐suppressed two‐dimensional (2D) spin‐echo and spin‐echo diffusion echo‐planar imaging (EPI) sequences using hyperbolic secant (HS) pulses for both π/2 excitation and π refocusing. Theory and Methods A theoretical framework to derive phase dispersion of moving spins under π/2 excitation and π refocusing using HS ...

Phylogenomic Barcoding of Soil Seed Bank–Persistent and Wind‐Dispersed Non‐Native Plant Species in South Georgia

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, Volume 26, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Climate change and invasive species are leading drivers of biodiversity loss, with island ecosystems being especially vulnerable. South Georgia, a remote sub‐Antarctic island, is 170 km long with approximately 30,000 ha of vegetated coastal areas, as snow and ice dominate the inland regions.

Corruption and Leadership in Africa: Evidence From Burkina Faso

open access: yesEconomics of Transition and Institutional Change, Volume 34, Issue 1, Page 183-197, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study assesses the role of a leader in anticorruption fighting in Africa. It focuses on the rule of Thomas Sankara, one of the legendary figures of contemporary Africa. Using the synthetic control approach, we design a counterfactual for the actual Burkina Faso called synthetic Burkina Faso based on corruption before Sankara's tenure. The

Seed‐Borne Spirosoma pollinicola in Commercial Hazelnuts: A Global Survey of Microbial Presence and Allergen Diversity

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 398-409, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Serious allergic reactions are increasing globally. Within this context, fatal anaphylaxis from hazelnut allergies is a critical public health concern. Hazelnuts, which are a common ingredient of many foods, contain many proteins that cause severe allergic reactions.
