Three new species of Aculops Keifer (Acari: Eriophyidae: Phyllocoptinae) from Gansu Province, China

Abstract Three new species of Aculops Keifer from Gansu Province, China are described, namely A. wenxianensis, sp. nov. on Melia azedarach Linn. (Meliaceae); A. saussureae, sp. nov. on Saussurea polycephala Hand.-Mazz. (Asteraceae) and A. syringae, sp. nov. on Syringa oblata Lindl. (Oleaceae). These are vagrant on the undersurface of host leaves.

A new Phyllocoptinae species and two new Diptilomiopinae species (Acari: Eriophyoidea) from China are described and illustrated. They are Aculus glaucae sp. nov. on Lindera glauca (Siebold et Zucc.) Blume (Lauraceae). Diptilomiopus maomingensis sp. nov. on Averrhoa carambola L. (Oxalidaceae), Diptilomiopus bilobae sp. nov.

Two new species of the genus Leipothrix Keifer, 1966 from China are described and illustrated. These species are Leipothrix pilosae sp. nov. , from Bidens pilosa L. (Compositae), and Leipothrix sarcandrae sp. nov. , from Sarcandra glabra (Thunb.) Nakai (Chloranthaceae). Both the new species described herein were found to be vagrant on their host plants
