A new ent-kaurane diterpenoid from Isodon phyllostachys

Fitoterapia, 2000
A new ent-kaurane diterpenoid, phyllostachysin C (1), together with five known compounds, sculponeatins B and C, nodosin, ursolic acid and 2 alpha-hydroxyursolic acid, were isolated from the leaves of Isodon phyllostachys. The structure of 1 was elucidated on the basis of its spectral properties.

ent-Kaurene diterpenoids from Isodon phyllostachys

Tetrahedron Letters, 2017
Four new ent-kaurene diterpenoids, phyllostachysins M–P (1–4) have been isolated from the aerial parts of Isodon phyllostachys. Compound 1 features a novel dihydro-2H-pyran ring motif, which was formed by an unusual cleavage in ring-A. 2 and 3 bear a rare 20-nor-ent-kaurene structure, but 4 has a rare 7,20-cyclo-ent-kaurene skeleton.

Two lignan dimers from bamboo stems (Phyllostachys edulis)

Phytochemistry, 2003
Phyllostadimers A and B, two bis-lignans in which the two lignan units are directly connected by a C-C bond, were isolated from stems of bamboo, Phyllostachys edulis. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral evidence. In addition, 14 known compounds were also obtained throughout the investigation.

Aluminum Tolerance in Moso Bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens)

The Botanical Review, 2011
Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) is widely distributed in the acid soil region of Southern China, where great potential of aluminum (Al) toxicity exists. To evaluate the Al tolerance of Moso bamboo, seed germination and root elongation were compared with two rice cultivars, and physical and physiological damages were examined under various levels ...

Genetic similarity among cultivars of Phyllostachys pubescens

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2008
Phyllostachys pubescens is the most important economic bamboo species in China, which grows widely in the South of China. There are more than ten cultivars in this species but their genetic relationship still remains unknown. We used both amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) and inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) techniques to determine ...
