T2T Genome Assembly and Multi‐Omics Data Reveal Terrestrial Adaptation and Mucus Biosynthesis in Tropical Leatherleaf Slug (Laevicaulis alte)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A gap‐free genome assembly and multi‐omics comparison of the terrestrial slug Laevichaulis alte with an aquatic relative reveal that expansion of the VEGF family orchestrates mucus production, lipid metabolism, and immune defense—highlighting key molecular innovations for conquering life on land.

Phylogenetic analysis of Cyprinus acutidorsalis (Wang, 1979) from the Hainan population using complete mitochondrial genome

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources
Cyprinus acutidorsalis (Wang, 1979) is an endemic fish in China that is sparsely distributed in the Hainan provinces and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR). In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of C.

The positive part of phylogenetic varieties

open access: yes, 2019
Modelling the substitution of nucleotides along a phylogenetic tree is usually done by a hidden Markov process. This allows to define a distribution of characters at the leaves of the trees and one might be able to obtain polynomial relationships among the probabilities of different characters.

A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

The complete chloroplast genome and phylogenetic analysis of Gymnosphaera andersonii (Cyatheaceae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources
This study assembles the first complete chloroplast genome of Gymnosphaera andersonii. The circular genome spans 155,232 bp with a GC content of 40.64%, comprising a large single-copy (85,843 bp), a small single-copy (21,607 bp), and two inverted repeats

Tandem Duplication‐Driven Neofunctionalization of UDP‐Glycosyltransferases Shapes the Diversification of Triterpenoid Saponins in the Cucurbitaceae

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Natural Variation of COLD and CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 Coordinately Fine‐Tunes Cold Tolerance and Tea Quality in Tea Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐trait genome‐wide association mapping identifies a central hub regulator, COLD AND CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 (CCR1), and its excellent natural allele variation, coordinately enhancing cold tolerance and promoting catechins biosyntheis. CsCCR1 interacts with CsCBF1/3 and is transcriptionally activated by CsLUX and CsKUA1 to promote catechins ...

Morphological variation and phylogenetic position of Vatica rassak ( Dipterocarpaceae ) based on the trn L- trn F region

open access: yesPlant and Fungal Systematics
Vatica rassak is one of the most exploited species of the genus Vatica for its wood and resin. The species exhibits high morphological variations across their range of distribution that crosses the border of the Wallace’s line.

Multi‐Component Functionalized Bifidobacterium Longum Hydrogel for Multi‐Target Integrated Therapy of Colitis‐Associated Anxiety and Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pH/MMP dual‐responsive Bifidobacterium longum (BL) hydrogel (INPs@BL@Gel) functionalized with baicalin, tyrosine, and inulin is constructed. It enables gastric protection, inflammation‐targeted release, and prolonged intestinal colonization. By remodeling gut microbiota, elevating beneficial neuroactive metabolites (homovanillic acid, short‐chain ...

Integrative Omics Analysis Reveals the Regulation of Hypoxia Tolerance in Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) via the Lipoic Acid Synthase (lias) Gene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipoic acid synthase (lias) can regulate α‐KG levels through lipoylation, thereby negatively regulating HIF‐1α protein levels via PHD under hypoixa. The Hap2 allele of lias exhibits lower expression levels than Hap1, leading to the accumulation of more HIF‐1α protein and thereby enhancing hypoxia tolerance. ABSTRACT Hypoxia stress seriously affects the
