Molecular phylogentic analysis of a bacterial community in Sulphur River, Parker Cave, Kentucky
American Mineralogist, 1998Sulphur River in Parker Cave, Kentucky receives sulfurous water (11‐21 mg sulfide/L) from the Phantom Waterfall and contains a microbial mat composed of white filaments. We extend a previous morphological survey with a molecular phylogenetic analysis of the bacteria of the microbial mat.

Background: CathepsinB (CTSB) is a lysosomal cysteine protease which has been implicated in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. However, the sequence and structure characteristics of sheep CTSB gene are still unclear, which severely restricts the further study about genetic variation, molecular evolution.

Evidence of Anaplasma spp. in goats and sheep in Cyprus has been demonstrated by previous research. Herein, further research was performed for the identification of the exact Anaplasma spp. resulting in the identification of Anaplasma ovis strains in all samples examined. We used a bioinformatics as well as a molecular approach (study of groEl and mps4

AbstractThe hypothesis is developed that there are causal linkages in evolved insect herbivore life histories and behaviors from phylogenetic constraints to adaptive syndromes to the emergent properties involving ecological interactions and population dynamics.

Gymnopilus turficola sp. nov. is described. This species is characterized by its habitat in palsa mires growing on peat in subarctic areas, by greenish lamellae in young state and the development of an iodoform odour when kept closed for some hours. Psilocin, psilocybin or related compounds could not be detected.

Changes in the palaeoenvironment and paleoclimate expedite the process of evolutionary divergence in animals. The evolutionary events of some small mammals distributed in Xinjiang Arid Region remain ambiguous. Thus, it is necessary to predict their evolutionary histories based on divergence estimates.

A multigene phylogentic analysis of Potato virus Y and its application in strain identification.
Yi chuan = Hereditas, 2017The objective of this study is to develop a rapid and accurate multigene phylogenetic analysis to identify Potato virus Y (PVY) strains. The phylogenetic relationships of strains within the PVY species were evaluated with isolate-strain association using five datasets of concatenated sequences from the P1, HC-pro, VPg and CP genes to determine the best
