Characterization of 18 SNP markers for sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus)
Molecular Ecology Notes, 2006AbstractWe report the characterization of 18 new single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers for an endangered species, the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus), developed using a targeted gene approach. SNP markers were derived from autosomal regions of the genome using primers originally characterized for genome mapping in other mammals.
