Characterization and physical mechanisms of aggregate stability in Ferrisols
The aggregate size distribution (PSD) and aggregate stability in Ferrisols were measured by Yoder's wet-sieving, mechanical shaking and chemical dispersion, and Le Bissonnais method. The aggregate stability indices as determined by the three methods were very significantly correlated with the clay content of Ferrisols.

Physical-mechanical characterization of two amazon woods coming from the second cutting cycle [PDF]
Due to changes in the Amazon forest dynamics after the first cutting cycle, non exploited species become dominant in the forest. The lack of technological knowledge makes it hard to commercialize these woods, making the understanding of their physical-mechanical properties a fundamental step to properly define their applications.

Physical and Mechanical Properties of Glued Laminated Bamboo
Certain bamboo species have mechanical properties that are compatible with construction material. Despite this, their low shear strength, the presence of nodes in their culms, and their circular geometry inhibit the expansion of the use of this material ...
