This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

The Development and Validation of a Measure to Assess Desire for Physical Competence
The purpose of the present study was to develop and validate a measure to assess desire for physical competence. From an initial pool of 46 items, 25 were selected through exploratory principle component analysis and by evaluating each item for clarity ...

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

This study investigates the M13 bacteriophage as a biomimetic nanovector capable of crossing in vitro models of the blood–brain barrier. By exploiting peculiar transcellular pathways, M13 avoids lysosomal degradation and preserves its structural integrity and functionality.

The competence of physiotherapists to deliver a cognitive behavioural approach for low back pain [PDF]
Treatment guidelines for low back pain (LBP) advocate the use of cognitive behavioural approaches, typically delivered by physiotherapists. This thesis explores the role of physiotherapist competence in the delivery of these approaches.

This systematic review quantitatively compares conventional mechanical stimulation strategies in cartilage tissue engineering across 85 heterogeneous in vitro studies. Applying standardized effect measures, meta‐analysis reveals that combined compression and shear loading optimally promotes cartilage matrix development.

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Physical activity and pulmonary rehabilitation – A competing agenda? [PDF]
The value of being physically fit is well described in the literature. The data seem to indicate that being physically active confers significant benefit. Rehabilitation interventions based upon improving physical activity (PA) and exercise capacity add value at all stages of the disease.
