Physical Therapy Hand Evaluation Form
Physical Therapy, 1980At the University of Chicago Hospitals Physical Therapy Department, we needed an organized hand-assessment form for recording the information necessary for effective treatment of hand injuries. We reviewed leading resources to identify the necessary data to obtain when evaluating hand function.1-4 The form we devised has seven categories for assessing ...

Optimizing the physical form – opportunities and limitations
Drug Discovery Today: Technologies, 2012This review addresses the question: ‘When can optimizing the physical form rescue leads with poor drug-like properties.’ This review addresses strategies involving: (1) alternate polymorphs or solvates; (2) salts; and (3) cocrystals. Amorphous materials are also briefly addressed.

Journal of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, 1980
Presented to the Scottish Region at a one–day conference entitled ‘A Profile of the 80s’, held at the Eurocrest Hotel, Glasgow, on 23 May 1980.The development of new physical forms of dyes has become increasingly important over the last decade. The need for ease of handling and dispensing, together with health and safety requirements and advances in ...

Physical characterization of solid forms of urapidil
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 1986Polymorphic forms of urapidil were prepared by various techniques. Three polymorphic forms were identified and their solid-state properties were characterized by thermal behaviour, X-ray powder diffraction, IR spectra, intrinsic dissolution rates, solution calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy.

Mathematics In-forms physics and physics Per-forms mathematics: comments
2014In this conversation I hold that Mathematics Informs Physics and Physics Performs Mathematics accordingly. The two appear to be indifferent to and ignorant of the Human Condition (consciousness/selfawareness). And this Ignorance seems Invincible. I hope to illustrate some of these with a simple example taken from the mathematics of finite part of ...

Overview of the Physics of Forming
Trans. of the IXth Fund. Res. Symp. Cambridge, 1989, 1989In this overview forming covers all processes from the dilution of thick stock into a mix, using recirculated white water in the short circulation, to the dewatering in the wire section. Grammage non uniformity in the paper web is to a predominant degree generated by the forming process, and especially the small scale variations summarized in the term

Physical and Chemical Form of I131 in Fallout
Health Physics, 1963Abstract—Studies of the physical and chemical forms of I131 fallout following the USSR nuclear tests of late 1961 and the United States and USSR studies of 1962 have shown that the fraction existing in the gaseous state varied from about 10 to 90 per cent. Very little of the gaseous I131 appeared to be in the elemental or HI form.

In the Crisis of the European Sciences Husserl raised a fascinating question, namely (broadly paraphrasing), why is it that the axioms of mathematical physics are not self-evident despite the evidence and clarity that is gained through the deductive processes that flow from them?
