Physical Therapy Hand Evaluation Form

Physical Therapy, 1980
At the University of Chicago Hospitals Physical Therapy Department, we needed an organized hand-assessment form for recording the information necessary for effective treatment of hand injuries. We reviewed leading resources to identify the necessary data to obtain when evaluating hand function.1-4 The form we devised has seven categories for assessing ...

Physical Forms of MIPs

2010
The current state of the art in the development of methodologies for the preparation of MIPs in predetermined physical forms is critically reviewed, with particular attention being paid to the forms most widely employed in practical applications, such as spherical beads in the micro- to nanometer range, microgels, monoliths, membranes.

Physical Forms of Dyes

Journal of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, 1980
Presented to the Scottish Region at a one–day conference entitled ‘A Profile of the 80s’, held at the Eurocrest Hotel, Glasgow, on 23 May 1980.The development of new physical forms of dyes has become increasingly important over the last decade. The need for ease of handling and dispensing, together with health and safety requirements and advances in ...

Mathematics In-forms physics and physics Per-forms mathematics: comments

2014
In this conversation I hold that Mathematics Informs Physics and Physics Performs Mathematics accordingly. The two appear to be indifferent to and ignorant of the Human Condition (consciousness/selfawareness). And this Ignorance seems Invincible. I hope to illustrate some of these with a simple example taken from the mathematics of finite part of ...

Physical Characterization of Solid Iopanoic Acid Forms

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1979
Three solid forms of iopanoic acid were characterized by X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy, thermal microscopy, IR spectroscopy, and dissolution studies. X-ray analysis demonstrated that two solid forms were crystalline and that the third was amorphous.

Optimizing the physical form – opportunities and limitations

Drug Discovery Today: Technologies, 2012
This review addresses the question: ‘When can optimizing the physical form rescue leads with poor drug-like properties.’ This review addresses strategies involving: (1) alternate polymorphs or solvates; (2) salts; and (3) cocrystals. Amorphous materials are also briefly addressed.

Physical characterization of solid forms of urapidil

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 1986
Polymorphic forms of urapidil were prepared by various techniques. Three polymorphic forms were identified and their solid-state properties were characterized by thermal behaviour, X-ray powder diffraction, IR spectra, intrinsic dissolution rates, solution calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy.
