This study proposes a potential device design for joint cartilage replacement. Silica‐polytetrahydrofuran (SiO2‐PolyTHF) hybrids with customizable mechanical properties were developed to mimic the characteristics of a natural meniscus. These were synthesized through a two‐pot sol–gel hybrid process.

Physical layer security in broadcast networks [PDF]
AbstractThis paper reviews the information theoretic characterization of security in broadcast channels, in which a transmitter has both public and confidential messages intended for multiple receivers. All messages must be successfully received by their intended receivers, and the confidential messages must be kept as secret as possible from non ...

An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Achievable Physical-Layer Security Over Composite Fading Channels
We investigate the physical layer security limits of Wyner's wiretap model over Fisher-Snedecor .T composite fading channels. .T fading conditions have been recently shown to provide an accurate characterization of multipath fading and shadowing effects ...

An Encryption Aware Physical Layer Security System
Due to their broadcast nature, wireless systems are vulnerable in the physical layer. While many physical layer security techniques are being developed, current security solutions are based on encryption techniques.

A soft, dual‐channel hydrogel patch enables simultaneous detection of wound temperature and strain by integrating ion‐diffusion‐mediated thermoelectric and resistive sensing. The conformal design maintains stable performance during motion, capturing subtle inflammatory and mechanical changes for continuous wound monitoring.

Most physical-layer security (PLS) work employ information theoretic metrics for performance analysis. In this paper, however, we investigate PLS from a signal processing point of view, where we rely on bit-error rate (BER) at the eavesdropper (Eve ...
