Red Blood Cell Membrane‐Camouflaged Red Phosphorus‐Modified C3N4 for Enhanced Tumoral Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) faces clinical challenges due to poor tumor targeting and systemic toxicity. Herein, a biomimetic C3N4‐RP@RBCm nanoplatform is developed via erythrocyte membrane encapsulation, enabling CD47‐mediated immune evasion and EPR‐driven tumor accumulation.

Validation of the estimated Effect of Ankle Foot Orthoses on Spinal Cord Injury Gait Using Subject-Adjusted Musculoskeletal Models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Simulation of assistive devices on pathological gait through musculoskeletal models offers the potential and advantages of estimating the effect of the device in several biomechanical variables and the device characteristics ahead of manufacturing. In this study, we introduce a novel musculoskeletal modelling approach to simulate the biomechanical ...

Soft Electromagnetic Actuator and Oscillator

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
This work presents a groundbreaking soft electromagnetic system capable of bistable actuation and self‐regulated oscillation. Using liquid metal and silicone as a compliant conductor, the actuator enables force generation, sensing, and feedback with minimal power.

A Sleeve Alters the Pressure‐Stretch Curve of a Hyperelastic Balloon to Enable Pre‐Programmed Sequencing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
This article demonstrates that encasing a hyperelastic balloon in an inextensible sleeve greatly increases its burst pressure. This simple mechanical behavior can be used to produce an asymmetric inflation‐deflation sequence for coupled balloons with different thicknesses so they could serve as a soft robot's rear and front anchors when driven from a ...
