Background. Modern technologies in the field of optics and photonics place high demands on the quality and output power of the radiation source. The fulfillment of these requirements can currently be achieved by creating multi-aperture laser systems with

Scattering spectra models for physics
Abstract Physicists routinely need probabilistic models for a number of tasks such as parameter inference or the generation of new realizations of a field. Establishing such models for highly non-Gaussian fields is a challenge, especially when the number of samples is limited.

Spatially resolving density-dependent screening around a single charged atom in graphene [PDF]
Electrons in two-dimensional graphene sheets behave as interacting chiral Dirac fermions and have unique screening properties due to their symmetry and reduced dimensionality.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

A Physical Model of the Reeb Foliation
In this paper, after explaining some basic aspects of the modern theory of foliations with the aim of describing the celebrated Reeb foliation, we propose the first construction of a comprehensive physical model of it. The construction of the model is achieved through an implementation of geometric methods for 3D printing.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Total Variation Regularization Strategies in Full-Waveform Inversion [PDF]
We propose an extended full-waveform inversion formulation that includes general convex constraints on the model. Though the full problem is highly nonconvex, the overarching optimization scheme arrives at geologically plausible results by solving a ...
