Physicochemical parameters influencing the emulsion drop size

Colloid & Polymer Science, 1996
The stirring-mixing energy is the most obvious factor in the drop size reduction process, but it is not necessarily the most important one. Both the physicochemical formulation and the composition variables are shown to play a determinant role, at constant stirring condition.

Physicochemical Parameters of Nitramines Influencing Shock Sensitivity

Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2004
AbstractTNO Prins Maurits Laboratory has actively followed and contributed to the research on the development of insensitive munitions (IM). One of the initial research topics at TNO focused on the improvement of the shape of RDX crystals and its relation to the shock sensitivity.

Optimization of physicochemical parameters of pyrite flotation

Journal of Mining Science, 2015
Tailings issued from polymetallic ore flotation of Chaabat el-Hamra mine contain sulfides such as Galena (PbS), Pyrite (FeS2) and Chalcopyrite (CuFeS2). They present environmental threats such as the acid mine drainage. Chemical analysis showed that the major element of these tailings is Pyrite.

BioGenerator - effect of physicochemical parameters on performance

2015 IEEE Electrical Power and Energy Conference (EPEC), 2015
The BioGenerator is the world's first biological converter of hydrogen to electricity. Its characteristics such as high electrical efficiency, high stability, scalability and low cost make it very useful for the re-electrification in the hydrogen-based energy storage systems.

Physicochemical Parameters Governing Microbial Fuel Cell Performance

2017
Microbial fuel cell (MFC) performance has been dramatically improved by optimizing physicochemical parameters, especially in the early period of MFC research, for MFC practical applications. The enhancement in power output of MFC can be dependent on several physical and chemical parameters such as electrode material and morphology, catalyst on ...

Prediction of Physicochemical Parameters by Atomic Contributions

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 1999
We present a new atom type classification system for use in atom-based calculation of partition coefficient (log P) and molar refractivity (MR) designed in part to address published concerns of previous atomic methods. The 68 atomic contributions to log P have been determined by fitting an extensive training set of 9920 molecules, with r2 = 0.918 and σ

Chapter 285. Physicochemical Parameters in Drug Design

1970
Publisher Summary This chapter elaborates the importance of physicochemical parameters in drug design. The studies on drug design show an increase in the use of quantitative structure–activity relationships. Another area of interest in drug design that is growing rapidly is the use of molecular orbital theory in the direct correlation of electronic ...

Physicochemical properties and quality parameters of herbhoneys

Food Chemistry, 2009
Abstract Herbhoney is a honey-like substance produced by bees fed on a saccharose-based food supplemented with herbal extracts or fruit juices. Having specific sensory characteristics (colour, aroma and taste), different from those of natural honeys, herbhoneys greatly extend the range of bee products.

Characterization of Dairy Effluents by Physicochemical Parameters

British Biotechnology Journal, 2013
Aims: The dairy industry faces growing scrutiny of its environmental stewardship. The potential impact of an individual operation on the environment varies with animal concentration, weather, terrain, soils, and numerous other conditions. It is hoped that management practices found on dairy industry will benefit by the management practices. So properly
