Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Physics-based preconditioners for multi-fluid plasma simulations

2016 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS), 2016
Many problems of interest in plasma modeling are subject to the ‘tyranny of scales’, specifically, problems that encompass physical processes that operate on timescales that are separated by many orders of magnitude. Investigating such problems therefore requires the use of implicit time-integration schemes, which advance problem solutions on the ...

Physics-based preconditioners for fluid-plasma simulations with electromagnetics

2015 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Sciences (ICOPS), 2015

Reports on Subfields of Physics: Plasmas and Fluids

Physics Today, 1986
Plasma physics and fluid physics are large fields that are themselves divided into subdisciplines: Plasma physics is practiced by fusion and space researchers and applied to the development of novel particle accelerators and coherent-light sources, to isotope separation and to astrophysics; fluid physics is important to geophysics, biology, medicine ...

The Physics of Fluids and Plasmas: An Introduction for Astrophysicists

Nuclear Fusion, 1999
This is the only book with which I am familiar that attempts to cover both fluids and plasmas. It is true that these subjects are closely related, but the logic of attempting to survey both fields, each of which is very broad, in a single volume is not really clear. References between the two subjects are not so frequent and there are excellent readily
