Eight new eclipsing binary systems with the light-time effect

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
We present eight new eclipsing binary systems, most of them detached, and also showing significant eclipse timing variations (ETVs). Therefore, these systems can be considered as triple-star candidates, via a so-called light-time effect (LITE).

Determinants of Body Mass Index in Early Systemic Sclerosis: Implications for Nutritional Risk Stratification

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Gastrointestinal (GI) involvement can lead to malnutrition in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). Body mass index (BMI) remains the most widely used marker to screen nutritional status. We aimed to identify predictors of lower BMI in patients with SSc. Methods Patients with SSc from a prospective US cohort meeting 2013 American College of

Longitudinal Changes in Adiposity After a Youth Sport‐Related Knee Injury: Informing Posttraumatic Osteoarthritis Prevention

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Youth who experience a sport‐related knee injury have elevated odds of becoming overweight or developing obesity in 3 to 10 years, compounding their risk for posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). To inform prevention strategies, this study compared patterns of adiposity change between youth with a sport‐related knee injury and uninjured youth ...
