A Fully Human Engineered Bone Niche With Endogenous Osteoclastogenesis Reveals Osteoclast‐Dependent Osteomimicry in Prostate Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A human 3D bone niche integrating osteoblasts and osteoclasts enables co‐culture with prostate cancer cell lines and patient‐derived organoids. The engineered niche (i) models aspects of reciprocal phenotypic regulation between osteoblasts and cancer cells, (ii) captures osteoclast‐enhanced osteomimicry in tumor cells, and (iii) establishes a ...

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Combined transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis of the molecular mechanism of seed dormancy release in Notopterygium incisum

open access: yesBMC Genomics
Background Notopterygium incisum seeds have both morphological and physiological dormancy characteristics and require stratification to break seed dormancy, but the mechanism of seed dormancy release during stratification is still unclear. In this study,

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Seed morphoanatomy may confer restraints against the germination of Pouteria glomerata (Sapotaceae) in a Neotropical wetland

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Biological Sciences
The tree-shrub species Pouteria glomerata (Miq.) Radlk. (Sapotaceae) occurs in periodically flooded areas marked by periods of drought. It has the potential for use in the ecological restoration of riparian forests; however, seed germination strategies ...

Effect of GA3 on ribonuclease activity in the embryos and endosperm of spring barley grain in the post-harvest dormancy period

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
The effect of GA3 on ribonuclease activity in the embryos and endosperm of barley seeds was investigated during dormancy and after its end. Incubation of dormancy grain with GA3 stimulated its germination, increased the dry weight of the embryos and ...

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Study of Seed Dormancy in Seven Medicinal Species from Apiaceae

open access: yesپژوهش‌های بذر ایران, 2015
Seeds of seven species of medicinal plants collected from the natural habitat in Lorestan province in summer 2011. Germination test carried out in a completely randomized design with four replications of 25 seeds in H2O. Species of Smyrnium cordifrolium,

Topography‐Regulated Screening Platform for Myoblast Contact Guidance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study develops a topography‐regulated screening platform (12 gradients in 96‐topography‐well plate) enabling analysis of skeletal muscle morphogenesis. The topography‐induced cell morphology changed, cell polarization, and myotube differentiation, establishing an evaluative framework for generating pathologically relevant myotube phenotypes to ...
