Continuous Molecular Monitoring Using Electrochemical Aptamer‐Based Sensors: Remaining Challenges for Long‐Term In Vivo Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Continuous molecular monitoring using electrochemical aptamer‐based sensors enables real‐time tracking of dynamic biomarkers with transformative potential for precision medicine. Achieving clinically relevant month‐long stability remains a central challenge due to multiple degradation pathways.

Long-Term Effects of Left Bundle Branch Pacing Using Stylet-Driven Lead on Left Ventricular Systolic Function: A Literature Review

open access: yesУкраїнський журнал серцево-судинної хірургії
Background: Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) has emerged as a physiological pacing strategy designed to preserve native ventricular activation and reduce the adverse effects of conventional right ventricular pacing.

Digoxin Alleviates Osteoarthritis by Inhibiting Macrophage Extracellular Trap Formation via Disruption of the LSP1‐SOD1 Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Synovial macrophages in osteoarthritis upregulate LSP1, which directly binds and inhibits SOD1, triggering a redox imbalance that activates both NOX and mitochondrial ROS pathways. This cascade drives the release of macrophage extracellular traps (METs), causing chondrocyte damage and disease progression.

Lactate Signal: Modulator of Cellular Energy Production and Anabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compartmentalized lactate signaling provides a spatial framework for understanding how lactate‐rich states are generated, transported, sensed, and translated into biological outputs. This Review integrates extracellular, cytosolic, mitochondrial‐associated, and nuclear lactate mechanisms to explain how lactate shapes metabolic adaptation, immune ...

The acute effect of cardiac pacing mode on endothelial vasodilation: Prospective, double-blind, cross-over, comparative clinical study

open access: yes, 2008
Background: Compared to atrioventricular sequential pacing, ventricular demand pacing is known to have somewhat more deleterious hemodynamic effects, which probably arise from increased sympathetic tonus and inappropriate baroreceptor activation ...

Porphyrin‐Based Porous Materials for Antibacterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Porphyrin‐based porous materials have excellent photophysical properties and tunable structures for high‐efficiency antibacterial therapy. This review comprehensively discusses the structural design strategies and synthetic pathways of the four main types of porphyrin‐based porous materials, summarizes their cross‐domain antimicrobial applications, and

Acute hemodynamic effects of atrioventricular pacing at differing sites in the right ventricle individually and simultaneously.

open access: yes, 1997
We hypothesized that pacing, which provided a rapid uniform contraction of the ventricles with a narrower QRS, would produce a better stroke volume and cardiac output (CO).
