Physiologic Specialization (Pathogenic Variability)
2014Physiologic specialization has long been known in Albugo candida. Eberhardt (Zentr Bakteriol Parasitenk, 12:235–249, 426–439, 614–631, 714–727, 1904a, b, c, d) recognized two specialized groupings of Albugo, one attacking Capsella, Lepidium, and Arabis, and the other attacking Brassica, Sinapis, and Diplotaxis.

Physiological Variables and Diabetic Status
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1980• A random sample of 568 participants in the Tecumseh, Mich, study, aged 30 to 59 years, was stratified according to blood glucose concentration to select a high proportion of diabetics. Subjects were categorized as overt diabetics, chemical or probable diabetics, or nondiabetics.

[Physiologic variability of plasma catecholamines].
Klinische Wochenschrift, 1986In an earlier publication, we described a modified procedure for the determination of plasma catecholamine levels using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), followed by amperometry. In this paper, we present our results on the variability of normal catecholamine values in plasma for noradrenaline (NA), adrenaline (A) and dopamine (DA). In 122

Seasonal variables among physiological variables in elite oarsmen.
Canadian journal of applied sport sciences. Journal canadien des sciences appliquees au sport, 1984Nine members of the U.S. Men's Olympic Rowing Team were studied during the in-season (IS) and off-season (OS). Maximum power, VE, VO2, and heart rate were measured during a 6-min rowing ergometer exercise during IS and OS. Per cent body fat and isokinetic quadriceps strength were also determined.

Instrumentation for the remote monitoring of physiological and behavioral variables
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1998Few commercial products are available for investigators who wish to monitor multiple physiological and behavioral variables in unrestrained subjects. When telemetry is not practical, e.g., in studies of at-sea diving physiology, one of the only options is to design and build a custom data-logging instrument.
