Gastroscopic Removal of a Phytobezoar

In a patient with a previous partial gastric resection, a phytobezoar was the cause of gastric obstructive symptoms. Upper gastrointestinal X-ray studies failed to show the bezoar. Gastroscopy revealed a bezoar attached to the wall of the gastric pouch. Complete removal was accomplished by tearing the bezoar apart with gastroscopic biopsy forceps. This
