Sustainable Biomass‐Derived Single‐Atom Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Catalysis

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 35, September 4, 2025.
The review comprehensively examines synthesis methods for biomass‐derived transition metal‐based singleatom catalysts (SACs). It narrows focus to Fenton‐like reactions, emphasizing how synthesis‐property relationships and active site configurations influence reaction mechanisms and catalytic performance, offering insight into the design of SACs for ...

Effects of Panels and Management on Plant Community Composition in Southern French Solar Parks

open access: yesApplied Vegetation Science, Volume 28, Issue 3, July/September 2025.
Solar panels and solar park management change plant communities. Plant species richness and cover are clearly lower under (UP) than outside panels (OP) with intermediate values for microhabitats affected by shade between panels (inter row, IR). ABSTRACT Aims The ongoing increase of solar parks creates and transforms open ecosystems.

Weed pressure across sequential plantings of industrial fiber hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) produced in the mid‐Atlantic

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2025.
Abstract With the lack of herbicides approved for use in industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) production, it is important to determine which cultural practices can be utilized to manage weeds. With the general quick growth and dense stand to shade soil surface, hemp produced for fiber, when established early, has the potential to compete with weed ...

The Roles of Epigenetics in the Interplay Between Beneficial Rhizobacteria and Plants

open access: yesModern Agriculture, Volume 3, Issue 1, June 2025.
The activity of PGPR in soil enhances the availability of nutrients and hormones secreted by these PGPRs, while nutrients acquired from PGPR‐enriched soil induce epigenetic modifications in plants. These altered epigenetic marks subsequently regulate plant gene expression patterns, including those involved in metabolite synthesis (such as root exudates)

Glucosylation of hydroxyflavones by glucosyltransferases from Phytolacca americana

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 2013
Abstract Cell suspension cultures of Phytolacca americana can glucosylate 6- and 7-hydroxyflavone, but not 5-hydroxyflavone. In order to identify the enzymes responsible for these transformations, glucosyltransferases (GTs) from P. americana were overexpressed in Escherichia coli and purified.
