Attention networks and the intrinsic network structure of the human brain
We assessed the relationship between attention networks and intrinsic connectivity networks. We show that different attention networks are all supported by the dorsal fronto‐parietal and the insular midcingulo‐network, casting doubts on most previous accounts on the network‐level representation of attention.

In the present study, Xia et al. demonstrate that advanced paternal age at childbirth (PatAGE) is negatively associated with offspring's reading. Moreover, this association is mediated by neuroanatomical maturation in the left posterior thalamus, which is closely linked with the dorsal attention network.
