Linearity, session types and the Pi calculus [PDF]
We present a type system based on session types that works on a conventional pi calculus. Types are equipped with a constructor that describes the two ends of a single communication channel, this being the only type available for describing the behaviour of channels.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Symbolic Bisimulation for the Applied Pi Calculus [PDF]
We propose a symbolic semantics for the finite applied pi calculus. The applied pi calculus is a variant of the pi calculus with extensions for modelling cryptographic protocols. By treating inputs symbolically, our semantics avoids potentially infinite branching of execution trees due to inputs from the environment.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The attributed pi calculus (pi(L)) forms an extension of the pi calculus with attributed processes and attribute dependent synchronization. To ensure flexibility, the calculus is parametrized with the language L which defines possible values of attributes.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

A Decidable Characterization of a Graphical Pi-calculus with Iterators [PDF]
This paper presents the Pi-graphs, a visual paradigm for the modelling and verification of mobile systems. The language is a graphical variant of the Pi-calculus with iterators to express non-terminating behaviors.

We study the interaction of the programming construct “new,” which generates statically scoped names, with communication via messages on channels. This interaction is crucial in security protocols, which are the main motivating examples for our work; it also appears in other programming-language contexts.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
