On Comparison Between Repetitive Controller and PI Controller Tracking Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Tracking periodic signals are common task in many control problems. One of the examples is movement control of pick and place robot in industry. The requirement of high tracking accuracy becomes very important in many applications.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Bayesian Optimization-Based Tuning of the Proportional-Integral Controller for Grid-Connected Three-Level NPC Converter

open access: yesEletrônica de Potência
Power converters provide energy interface in various applications; in photovoltaics, they interconnect solar panels to the grid, with two‑level inverters being the most common across virtually all power ranges, followed by three‑level neutral point ...

Nonlinear Controller with the Enhanced Resistance to Electromagnetic Disturbances

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2019
The controller, which provides the control system dynamics similar to PID controller, but guarantees higher resistance of the control system to electromagnetic disturbances, has been proposed.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Set point tracking of Ball and Beam System Using Genetic Algorithm based PI-PD Controller

open access: yesNUST Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2019
The ball and beam system is one of the commonly used benchmark control apparatus for evaluating numerous different real systems and control strategies. It is an inherently nonlinear and open-loop unstable system.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Design and practical implementation of a fractional order proportional integral controller (FOPI) for a poorly damped fractional order process with time delay

open access: yes, 2019
One of the most popular tuning procedures for the development of fractional order controllers is by imposing frequency domain constraints such as gain crossover frequency, phase margin and iso-damping properties.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
