SELF-TUNING PI CONTROLLER

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract A self-tuning algorithm comprising the steps of identification and tuning is proposed. The methodology of process parameters identification is based on the measurement of the locus of a perturbed relay system (LPRS) points from a single or multiple asymmetric relay feedback tests.

Controlling Reversibility in Higher-Order Pi

2011
We present in this paper a fine-grained rollback primitive for the higher-order π-calculus (HOπ), that builds on the reversibility apparatus of reversible HOπ [9]. The definition of a proper semantics for such a primitive is a surprisingly delicate matter because of the potential interferences between concurrent rollbacks.

Fuzzy-PID controllers vs. fuzzy-PI controllers

Proceedings of IEEE 5th International Fuzzy Systems, 2002
The synthesis of a control system includes both the controller selection and the adjustment of its parameters. In some cases, the type of controller might be more complex or more general, like PID instead PI or PD, to improve the control system performance. In all cases, the tuning problem must be satisfactorily solved. On the other hand, fuzzy control

ON AGGRESSIVENESS OF PI CONTROL

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Abstract The aggressiveness of a PI controller is defined and a quantitative characterization is given in relation to the ratio of the proportional and integral actions of the controller. This concept provides simple analytic design relations for tuning PI controllers.

PI and PID Controllers Tuning

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2000
Abstract The paper describes an original analytic-experimental approach to digital and analog PI and PID controllers tuning for monotone proportional controlled plants with a time delay. The proposed approach is very simple. It enables a controller tuning so that a relative overshoot will be in the range from 0 to 50 % for the step change of a ...

Entropic-Model-Based PI Controller

2009
Abstract Contributions of entropic modelling to the performance of reactive process control have been investigated. The modelling has been developed based on mass, energy and entropy balances and thermodynamics relations, resulting in a model for calculating the entropy production rate. Using the conventional optimization technique, a minimum for the
