1998Serbian spruce, Picea omorika (Panc.) Purk. And whitebark pine, Pinus heldreichii (Christ.) are Tertiary relic and endemic species. Picea omorika is endemic to the Balkan Peninsula and is restricted to small localities in Serbia and Bosnia. Standardization of gymnosperm karyotypes using Picea omorika as an example
Forest genetics, 1996The karyotype analysis of a single Picea omorika (Panč.) Purk. tree was completed using female gametophyte tissue. Most chromosomes (n=12) were metacentric, but chromosomes IX and XII were submetacentric.
