\u3cem\u3e Picea omorika\u3c/em\u3e Leaf/Leaf Attachment
The needles are dark green on top and have very obvious glaucous white stomatal lines on the bottom. The overall effect is a beautiful silvery blue contrast of the flipped up branch tips against the dark green foliage on the rest of the tree.

Microelements variability in needles of natural populations of Picea omorika
This is the first study of microelement variability in needles of seven natural populations of Picea omorika (Panč.) Purkyně from Serbia. Seven essential, three usefull, and six toxic microelements were analysed by ICP-Spectrometer. Their range was as follows: Mn > Fe > Zn > Al > Na > B > Cu > Ni > Cr > Cd > Co.

Somatic embryogenesis was studied in four spruce species (Picea abies, P. omorika, P. pungens 'Glauca' and P. brewenana) to determine if this method can be used for in vitro propagation of coniferous trees.

Tema požara u šumama Pančićeve omorike je prisutna on njenog otkrića.
