Movement and Persistence of Picloram in Soil

Weed Science, 1972
The movement and persistence of 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropicolinic acid (picloram) in an Osborne clay soil was determined over a 4-year period. Picloram concentrations were determined with soybean(Glycine max(L.) Merr. ‘Altona’) as the bioassay plant. Application rates ranged from 35 to 700 g/ha.

Herbicidal Effects of Picloram on Bermudagrass

Weed Science, 1971
The herbicide 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropicolinic acid (picloram) was applied to several bermudagrasses (Cynodon spp.). Most of the grasses were susceptible to picloram; however, some were resistant and recovered within 16 months from the initial treatment. There were no detectable metabolites of 14C picloram in bermudagrass (C. dactylon (L.) Pers. ‘U-3’)

Concentration of Picloram in the Soil Profile

Weed Science, 1972
Soil residue levels were studied to a depth of 2.4 m for a period of 2 years after application of 1.12 kg/ha of 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropicolinic acid (picloram). Thirty days after application 93 ppb were recovered in the top 15 cm of soil. Residues were less than 5 ppb at depths of 46 to 122 cm. Six months after application, residues were between 5 and
