Polyethyleneimine‐Modified Biosorbent Based on Banana Pseudostem Biomass for Environmental Remediation and Food Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 9, Issue 12, December 2025.
Biosorbents derived from banana pseudostem are functionalized with polyethyleneimine, with or without glutaraldehyde, and evaluated for dye removal and solid‐phase extraction. The materials exhibit high adsorption capacities and broad pH applicability in dye removal, while computational studies reveal amino groups as key interaction sites.

Deuteration of Six‐Membered N‐Heteroarenes: Chemistry and Applications

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 67, December 1, 2025.
Deuterated six‐membered N‐Heteroarenes (6NHetAr) are finding utility in an increasing repertoire of applications. Our paper comprehensively reviews synthetic approaches that have been reported for the deuteration of 6NHetAr and their fused counterparts while providing an overview of established and emerging applications for these materials.

Liming on picloram leaching in dystrophic Red Yellow Latosol

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental
The practice of liming may influence the leaching of herbicides in soils, especially those with weak acid character, such as picloram. The study on leaching, preserving soil structure, is an important factor when one intends to understand the dynamics of

Evidence of somatic embryogenesis from root tip explants of the rattan Calamus manan [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Somatic embryogenesis of #Calamus manan#, a single-stemmed rattan species, in tissue culture was scientifically demonstrated for the first time. Root tips of #in vitro# plantlets produced friable callus when the explants were cultivated for several mo ...

Tolerance of plantain (Plantago lanceolata) to translocated herbicides wiped on flower stems

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 68, Issue 6, Page 1502-1514, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Growing plantain (Plantago lanceolata) within pastures reduces nitrate leaching following grazing. Plantain is usually grown with grass and clover species, making selective weed control challenging. One strategy to selectively remove tall weeds in pastures with mixed species is to apply herbicides using weed wipers. However, for many months of

The Arabidopsis Auxin Receptor F-Box Proteins AFB4 and AFB5 Are Required for Response to the Synthetic Auxin Picloram

open access: yesG3: Genes, Genomes, Genetics, 2015
The plant hormone auxin is perceived by a family of F-box proteins called the TIR1/AFBs. Phylogenetic studies reveal that these proteins fall into four clades in flowering plants called TIR1, AFB2, AFB4, and AFB6. Genetic studies indicate that members of
