Picosecond chemistry.

Science (New York, N.Y.), 1976
The ability to directly measure and evaluate ultrafast processes with unprecedented time resolution and reliability has greatly extended our knowledge about the kinetics of primary processes in chemistry and allied physical and biological sciences. Improvements in the reliability and versatility of picosecond techniques should lead to an increase in ...

A Comparison Study of the Nonablative Fractional 1565-nm Er: glass and the Picosecond Fractional 1064/532-nm Nd YAG Lasers in the Treatment of Striae Alba A Split Body Double-Blinded Trial

Dermatologic Surgery, 2018
BACKGROUND Few effective treatments exist for striae alba, which are the mature stage of stretch marks. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy of the nonablative fractional 1,565-nm Erbium-glass (Er:glass) and the picosecond fractional 1,064/532-nm neodymium:

Picosecond spectrochronography

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1983
The general problem of extracting complete (amplitude and phase) information out of an optical signal is discussed. The authors have shown that the best one can do to determine all essential features of light pulses is to apply simultaneous temporal and spectral analysis to take spectrochronograms with the appropriate shape of the resolution cell on ...

Picosecond Switchable Azo Dyes

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2019
AbstractAzo dyes that combine electron‐withdrawing thiazole/benzothiazole heterocycles and electron‐donating amino groups within the very same covalent skeleton exhibit relaxation times for their thermal isomerization kinetics within milli‐ and microsecond timescales at room temperature.

Picosecond Nonlinear Optics

1977
The extremely active interest in recent years in the study with picosecond pulses of nonlinear optical effects can be accounted for by a number of reasons. First, the peak power available from modelocked laser and laser amplifier systems greatly exceeds that obtainable from Q-switched and other longer pulsed lasers.

Picosecond time-resolved photoluminescence using picosecond excitation correlation spectroscopy

Journal of Applied Physics, 1988
We present a study of the temporal decay of photoluminescence (PL) as detected by picosecond excitation correlation spectroscopy (PECS). We analyze the correlation signal that is obtained from two simple models; one where radiative recombination dominates, the other where trapping processes dominate.
