Subsurface Fractional Ablative Resurfacing of a Periareolar Scar Using 1,064-nm Picosecond Laser with Micro-Lens Array [PDF]
Although picosecond lasers were invented as an effective treatment of pigmented lesions, the Food and Drug Administration has also approved picosecond lasers with fractional mode for treating acne scars and wrinkles on the face.

Yellow picosecond diamond Raman laser [PDF]
Visible pulsed lasers are required for many applications, for example in biomedical imaging [1] and STED microscopy [2]. Such applications often have stringent requirements on the wavelength and pulse duration, which are not directly available from typical solid-state sources.

Fundamentals of picosecond laser ultrasonics [PDF]
The aim of this article is to provide an introduction to picosecond laser ultrasonics, a means by which gigahertz-terahertz ultrasonic waves can be generated and detected by ultrashort light pulses. This method can be used to characterize materials with nanometer spatial resolution.

Beating of exciton-dressed states in a single semiconductor InGaAs/GaAs quantum dot [PDF]
We report picosecond control of excitonic dressed states in a single semiconductor quantum dot. A strong laser pulse couples the exciton and biexciton states, to form an Autler-Townes doublet of the neutral exciton transition.

An ytterbium-doped, mode-locking fiber front-end laser, delivering both a femtosecond seed laser and picosecond seed laser, was demonstrated. The fundamental repetition rate of the 1031 nm mode-locked laser was 32.77 MHz, realized with the all ...

Variable frequency picosecond optical pulse generation from laser diodes by electrical feedback [PDF]
High repetition rate picosecond optical pulse generation is achieved by providing electrical feedback (with and without external gain) to a self-pulsating laser diode. The feedback improves pulsation short-term stability (

High energy green nanosecond and picosecond pulse delivery through a negative curvature fiber for precision micro-machining [PDF]
In this paper we present an anti-resonant guiding, low-loss Negative Curvature Fiber (NCF) for the efficient delivery of high energy short (ns) and ultrashort (ps) pulsed laser light in the green spectral region.

Application of photoelectric technology on melasma
Melasma is a skin disease where brown or pigmented patches appear on the face. Currently, it is difficult to be treated because of lower success rate and higher recurrence rate.

Experimental Investigations on Laser Ablation of Aluminum in Sub-Picosecond Regimes
Due to high power and ultrashort pulses, femtosecond lasers excel at (but are not limited to) processing materials whose thicknesses are less than 500 microns. Numerous experiments and theoretical analyses testify to the fact that there are solid grounds
