The locus of semantic interference in picture naming [PDF]
El locus del efecto de interferencia semántica en la denominación de dibujos. En los experimentos que se presentan se utilizó el procedimiento de priming enmascarado para explorar el locus del efecto de interferencia semántica.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Getting the picture : iconicity does not affect representation-referent confusion [PDF]
Three experiments examined 3- to 5-year-olds' (N = 428) understanding of the relationship between pictorial iconicity (photograph, colored drawing, schematic drawing) and the real world referent.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

EEG Multiscale Complexity in Schizophrenia During Picture Naming
Introduction: Patients with schizophrenia show cognitive deficits that are evident both behaviourally and with EEG recordings. Recent studies have suggested that non-linear analyses of EEG might more adequately reflect the complex, irregular, non ...

Lost in semantic space: a multi-modal, non-verbal assessment of feature knowledge in semantic dementia [PDF]
A novel, non-verbal test of semantic feature knowledge is introduced, enabling subordinate knowledge of four important concept attributes—colour, sound, environmental context and motion—to be individually probed.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Traditionally neuropsychological observations have constrained the view that semantic knowledge is organized in categories: animals, plants or tools (Warrington & Shallice, 1984; Caramazza & Shelton, 1998; Tyler & Moss, 2001).
