Abstract The increasing uncertainty caused by volatile renewable generation and random electricity demand has always been a critical challenge in power system operations. Robust optimization (RO) is a powerful tool for effectively addressing this uncertainty. As the interplay between uncertain factors and decision‐making becomes more prevalent, RO with

Abstract Layered epoxy/paper composites that exhibit excellent insulating characteristics under elevated electrification and temperature conditions are essential components for power system insulation. Yet, inevitable charge accumulation occurs at hetero interfaces between layers due to interfacial polarisation and interface barrier effect, bringing ...

ABSTRACT The corrosion problems of high‐voltage power transmission conductors typically occur in environments with electric fields. However, current research mainly focuses on atmospheric corrosion of metals with limited attention to the combined effects of electric fields and atmospheric conditions on metal corrosion.

Spectral normalization generative adversarial networks for photovoltaic power scenario generation
This paper integrates the spectral normalization method into the discriminator network to enhance the training stability of the network. Through simulations of centralized photovoltaic power station scenarios, the effectiveness of the selected methods is validated.

Rotten to the core? Drivers of the vertical profile and accumulation of internal tree stem damage
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Trees are important above‐ground carbon sinks in savanna ecosystems, yet consumption of internal wood by decomposers (e.g. termites and microbes) creates uncertainties in tree biomass accounting.

The interannual stability of the carabid biomass in agricultural fields can be maximised by supporting the in‐field mean alpha‐richness that reduces their temporal beta‐diversity. Increasing crop phenology diversity at the landscape level also stabilises carabid biomass over time. Abstract While the temporal stability of plant communities has been well

Demographic history of the Malayan tapirs (Tapirus indicus) in Southeast Asia
Malayan tapirs in Southeast Asia can be distinguished into 3 geographical groups, based on genetic structure analysis in 11 whole genomes. The effective population size (Ne) of tapirs shows a general decreasing trend, as suggested by the pairwise sequentially Markovian coalescent analysis, with population expansion or structuring during late Early ...
