For the automatic generation control (AGC) systems, not all data segments are suitable for performance assessment and severe noises induce uncertainties in the estimates of performance metrics. For the first challenge, the proposed method extracts step‐pattern data segments, from which dynamic models are identified and performance metrics are estimated

In this article, we derive a non‐hydrostatic extension to the SWE to solve bottom‐generated waves along with its pressure relation. This relation is built on a linear vertical velocity assumption, leading us to a quadratic pressure profile, where we alternatively write it so that we can solve it by a projection method without ambiguity due to the ...

This article presents the principles of Finite Element‐Volume discretization and conducts an analysis of its properties and convergence orders. The discretization ensures local mass conservation, second‐order convergence for velocity, and first‐order convergence for pressure.

Multiple Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Models
ABSTRACT Many empirical time series show periodic patterns. SARIMA models and exponential smoothing methods are classical approaches to account for seasonal dynamics. However, they allow to model just one periodic component, while several time series have multiple seasonality, with periodic components possibly tangled among them.

Deep Learning for Bond Yield Forecasting: The LSTM‐LagLasso
ABSTRACT We present long short‐term memory (LSTM)‐LagLasso, a novel explainable deep learning approach applied to bond yield forecasting. Our method involves feature selection from a large universe of potential features and forecasts bond yields using dynamic LSTM networks.

A Sharper Ramsey Theorem for Constrained Drawings
ABSTRACT Given a graph G $G$ and a collection C ${\mathscr{C}}$ of subsets of Rd ${{\mathbb{R}}}^{d}$ indexed by the subsets of vertices of G $G$, a constrained drawing of G $G$ is a drawing where each edge is drawn inside some set from C ${\mathscr{C}}$, in such a way that nonadjacent edges are drawn in sets with disjoint indices.

An 11‐bit OLED driver IC employing a novel Double Capacitor‐Coupled Adder and Offset Calibration technique is proposed. The architecture achieves high‐speed parallel sampling and accurate driving with a maximum DVO of 2.43 mV and a slew rate of 9.9 V/us.

ABSTRACT The impact of livestock grazing on soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks in the Sahel has been poorly documented due to a lack of data from different grazing intensities. This study evaluated SOC stocks under four grazing intensities within 0–30 cm soil depth in dry savanna ecosystems of Senegal.

On the piecewise complexity of words
The piecewise complexity $h(u)$ of a word is the minimal length of subwords needed to exactly characterise $u$. Its piecewise minimality index $ρ(u)$ is the smallest length $k$ such that $u$ is minimal among its order-$k$ class $[u]_k$ in Simon's congruence. We initiate a study of these two descriptive complexity measures.
