Operando optical characterization of vertical two‐terminal monolayer hexagonal Boron Nitride devices is used to gain new insight into the key role of defects in the dynamics of switching. Characterization of photoluminescence and dark‐field scattering light signals during electrical switching indicates that the formation of conductive filaments of gold

Thermal imaging offers a non‐destructive approach to quality control in silicon‐based lithium‐ion battery electrodes, enabling the detection of defects, variations in mass loading, and the monitoring of drying dynamics. This study introduces an automated defect‐detection‐algorithm and a machine learning‐based Random Forest model to estimate mass ...

Quantification of Azides on the Surface of Nanoparticles: Toward Precise Bioconjugation
Herein, two spectroscopic methods for surface azides quantification are developed. The first method is based on the ability of electron‐withdrawing ligands to quench the fluorescence of conjugated dyes, whereas the second method is more general and is based on the UV–Vis monitoring of alkyne absorbance during the click reaction.

Influence of environmental conditions on the creep behavior of large‐scale concrete specimens
Abstract In this article, a testing campaign on large‐scale concrete specimens to study the influence of environmental conditions on their creep behavior for different member sizes is presented. This testing campaign is unique due to its specimen dimensions (cross‐sectional areas of up to 1 m2) and the continuous deformation measurements for over 6 ...
