Aerosol Optical Depth from MODIS satellite data above the Pierre Auger Observatory
Aerosol optical depth can be retrieved from measurements performed by Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite instrument. The MODIS satellite system includes two polar satellites, Terra and Aqua. Each of them flies over the Pierre

Photovoltaic monitoring system for Auger Muons and Infill for the Ground Array
The characterization of a PV system with solar controllers in parallel is made. The telemetric monitoring system is used, designed for characterizing the PV system. Data analysis of solar radiation and photovoltaic system behavior is made. The PV system is used in the AMIGA project of the Pierre Auger Observatory.

The detection of ultrahigh‐energy neutrinos, with energies in the PeV range or above, is a topic of great interest in modern astroparticle physics. The importance comes from the fact that these neutrinos point back to the most energetic particle accelerators in the Universe and provide information about their underlying acceleration mechanisms ...

Recent results from the Pierre Auger Observatory [PDF]
In this paper some recent results from the Pierre Auger Collaboration are presented. These are the measurement of the energy spectrum of cosmic rays over a wide range of energies (1017.5 to above 1020 eV), studies of the cosmic-ray mass composition with ...

On the Impact of Tsallis Statistics on Cosmic Ray Showers
We investigate the impact of the Tsallis nonextensive statistics introduced by intrinsic temperature fluctuations in p‐Air ultrahigh energy interactions on observables of cosmic ray showers, such as the slant depth of the maximum Xmax and the muon number on the ground Nμ. The results show that these observables are significantly affected by temperature

Growth of Accreting Supermassive Black Hole Seeds and Neutrino Radiation
In the framework of microscopic theory of black hole (MTBH), which explores the most important processes of rearrangement of vacuum state and spontaneous breaking of gravitation gauge symmetry at huge energies, we have undertaken a large series of numerical simulations with the goal to trace an evolution of the mass assembly history of 377 plausible ...
