Low-frequency ultrasonic piezoceramic sandwich transducer
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2005This paper presents an ultrasonic piezoceramic sandwich transducer (UPST), utilised for ultrasonic field generation in water and cavitational effect achievement. This device will be used to produce enlargement of the bubbles, initiated by the incident shock wave on the calculus in the lithotripsy process. The piezoceramic sandwich transducer powered by

SPICE model for lossy piezoceramic transducers
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1997A transmission line equivalent circuit for piezoelectric transducers has been modified to provide modeling of lossy piezoceramic transducers. A lossy transmission line is used to model the mechanical losses. The equivalent circuit parameters are derived from analogies between electrical transmission lines and acoustic wave propagation.

Underwater flextensional piezoceramic sandwich transducer
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2002This paper presents theoretical and experimental research for the design and manufacture of an underwater flextensional piezoceramic sandwich transducer (FPST) for applications in underwater acoustics transmission at long distances. The emitting transducer can generate an ultrasonic field into the water medium.

Low frequency underwater piezoceramic transducer
Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2000Abstract This paper presents some aspects about the piezoceramic materials utilized in low frequency flextensional piezoceramic transducers for underwater acoustics applications. The piezoceramic material utilized in the flextensional transducer is type Pb(Zr0.53Ti0.47)O3 (PZT) with various additions (Ni, Bi and Mn).

Efficiency of excitation of piezoceramic transducers at antiresonance frequency
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2002The efficiency of piezoceramic transducers excited at both the resonance and antiresonance frequency was investigated. Losses in piezoceramics are phenomenologically considered to have three coupled mechanisms: dielectric, mechanical, and piezoelectric losses.

Functionally graded piezoceramic ultrasonic transducers
Smart Materials and Structures, 2006Ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers that are employed in various applications are desired to produce a broadband frequency spectrum. However, interference from the sympathetic pulses generated by the transducer limits the duration of the waveform to a very short time.

Ultrasonic piezoceramic transducers with a magnetoacoustic layer
Technical Physics Letters, 2004We describe the design and present the results of calculations of the properties of an ultrasonic transducer based on a piezoceramic plate in mechanical contact with a layer of a magnetoacoustic material. The transducer is characterized by strong dependence of the velocities of both transverse and longitudinal waves on the magnetic field.

Piezoceramic bender transducers for optoelectronic devices
SPIE Proceedings, 1995This paper presents a bimorph transducer made of a PZT ceramic (titanate zirconate of lead) material, having a high compliance. There are revealed some properties of piezoceramic we have used (which is obtained in the laboratory) and the way to achieve the transducer.

Underwater pipeline impact localization using piezoceramic transducers
Smart Materials and Structures, 2017Reports indicated that impact events accounted for 47% of offshore pipeline failures, which calls for impact detection and localization for subsea pipelines. In this paper, an innovative method for rapid localization of impacts on underwater pipelines utilizing a novel determination technique for both arrival-time and group velocity (ATGV) of ...
