Structure-Integrated Loudspeaker Using Fiber-Reinforced Plastics and Piezoelectric Transducers—Design, Manufacturing and Validation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In the present study, it could be shown that by integration of a piezoceramic transducer in a fiber-reinforced door side panel, a flat loudspeaker can be realized.

Characteristics of a 2-2 Piezoelectric Composite Transducer Made by Magnetic Force Assembly

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
A wider operational bandwidth, a higher electromechanical coupling factor, and lower acoustic impedance are important requirements for ultrasound transducers for use across many applications. Conventional 2-2 piezoelectric composite transducers have been

Performance of periodic piezoelectric composite arrays incorporating a passive phase exhibiting anisotropic properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper explores the minimisation of interelement cross talk in 1-D and 2-D periodic composite array structures through the incorporation of a passive phase exhibiting anisotropic elastic properties.

Mapping of Physiological Signals From Wireless Battery‐Free Implants With Plane‐Wave Ultrasound Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 9, 6 May 2026.
Combined approach of electromagnetic (Power) and ultrasound (data harvesting) waves is proposed to address the miniaturized ultrasonic implants. Electromagnetic waves trigger the piezoelectric element to generate the acoustic pulse which is modulated by the variations in the sensor's impedance.

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 16, 24 April 2026.
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

INVESTIGATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF INCREASED TEMPERATURE ON THE TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PIEZO ELEMENTS FROM CERAMICS OF THE ZIRCONATE-TITANATE LEAD TYPE

open access: yesНадежность и качество сложных систем, 2023
Background. The most important stimulus for the study of piezoceramic materials is the increasing requirements for expanding the operating temperature range, improving metrological characteristics, and resistance to destabilizing factors of devices ...

A generalised approach to torsionality maximisation in longitudinal-torsional ultrasonic devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A longitudinal-torsional vibration mode has many applications in ultrasonic systems. Obtaining this behaviour could be achieved either by coupling the longitudinal and torsional modes or by degenerating the longitudinal mode, but the results may be ...

Rayleigh Wave Calibration of Acoustic Emission Sensors and Ultrasonic Transducers. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Acoustic emission (AE) sensors and ultrasonic transducers were characterized for the detection of Rayleigh waves (RW). Small aperture reference sensors were characterized first using the fracture of glass capillary tubes in combination with a theoretical
