Design of the Piezoelectric Actuator with Double Driving Tips
The general operation of a piezoelectric ultrasonic resonant actuator is to convert the cyclic motion of the piezoelectric plate to a linear motion at the rotor or slider.

Design of a Low-Frequency Harmonic Rotary Piezoelectric Actuator
Piezoelectric actuators usually operate under a high frequency driving signal. Here we report a harmonic rotating piezoelectric actuator by coupling a harmonic wave generator and a friction rotor, in which the actuator can be actuated by a low-frequency ...

Modelling of the Coupled Beam-Piezoelectric Material With Hysteresis Non-Linerity Effect
Hysteresis is one of the non-linearity characteristics of the piezoelectric material. This characteristic is important to be characterized since it can affect the performance of the piezoelectric material as sensor or actuator in many applications.

Piezoelectrically actuated time-averaged atomic microtraps [PDF]
We present a scheme for creating tight and adiabatic time-averaged atom-traps through the piezoelectric actuation of nanomagnetic structures. We show that potentials formed by the circular translation of magnetic structures have several advantages over conventional rotating-field techniques, particularly for high trap frequencies.

Control of a multi-degree of freedom worktool for vibrations assisted forging [PDF]
This paper addresses the control of a tool developed to superimpose vibrations along several directions on a piece during forging. Piezoelectric actuators are used to provide the required forces and speeds.

Dynamic analysis of runout correction in milling [PDF]
Tool runout and its effects is an important area of research within modelling, simulation, and control of milling forces. Tool runout causes tool cutting edges to experience uneven forces during milling.
