Disc Piezoelectric Ceramic Transformers

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2012
In this contribution, we present our study on disc-shaped and homogeneously poled piezoelectric ceramic transformers working in planar-extensional vibration modes. Transformers are designed with electrodes divided into wedge, axisymmetrical ring-dot, moonie, smile, or yin-yang segments.

Bar piezoelectric ceramic transformers

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2013
Bar-shaped piezoelectric ceramic transformers (PTs) working in the longitudinal vibration mode (k31 mode) were studied. Two types of the transformer were designed--one with the electrode divided into two segments of different length, and one with the electrodes divided into three symmetrical segments.

Piezoelectric Moduli of Piezoelectric Ceramics

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1996
The effective piezoelectric moduli of polycrystalline piezoelectric ceramics are calculated using a straightforward averaging method (a Voigt average) and a more rigorous effective‐medium theory recently developed for piezocomposites. The effects of polarization orientation within each crystallographic domain and the shape of the domain on the ...

Piezoelectric Ceramics

Advanced Materials, 1990
Surface acoustic wave filters and delay lines are two application in electronics of piezoelectric ceramics such as LiNbO3 LiTaO3 and BaTiO3, materials which convert a mechanical stimulus into an electrical signal. The basic physics and crystal chemistry of the materials, including ferroelectric ceramics, are described and an outline for further ...

Piezoelectric ceramic transformer

Ferroelectrics, 1980
Abstract This paper presents a piezoelectric ceramic transformer which has a no-load alternating current voltage step-up ratio of about 150–200. The composition of the material is: ternary piezoelectric ceramics. The experimental results made on the material properties and the characteristics of transformer elements are presented. Based on the analysis
