Bar piezoelectric ceramic transformers

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2013
Bar-shaped piezoelectric ceramic transformers (PTs) working in the longitudinal vibration mode (k31 mode) were studied. Two types of the transformer were designed--one with the electrode divided into two segments of different length, and one with the electrodes divided into three symmetrical segments.

Piezoelectric Moduli of Piezoelectric Ceramics

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1996
The effective piezoelectric moduli of polycrystalline piezoelectric ceramics are calculated using a straightforward averaging method (a Voigt average) and a more rigorous effective‐medium theory recently developed for piezocomposites. The effects of polarization orientation within each crystallographic domain and the shape of the domain on the ...

Piezoelectric Ceramics

Advanced Materials, 1990
Surface acoustic wave filters and delay lines are two application in electronics of piezoelectric ceramics such as LiNbO3 LiTaO3 and BaTiO3, materials which convert a mechanical stimulus into an electrical signal. The basic physics and crystal chemistry of the materials, including ferroelectric ceramics, are described and an outline for further ...

Piezoelectric ceramic transformer

Ferroelectrics, 1980
Abstract This paper presents a piezoelectric ceramic transformer which has a no-load alternating current voltage step-up ratio of about 150–200. The composition of the material is: ternary piezoelectric ceramics. The experimental results made on the material properties and the characteristics of transformer elements are presented. Based on the analysis

Internal electrode piezoelectric ceramic actuator

Ferroelectrics, 1983
An internal electrode multilayer piezoelectric ceramic actuator element has been investigated. An individual internal electrode has the same area as the element cross section area. It has no piezoelectric inactive part, so that it shows strain/field characteristics similar to plain piezoelectric ceramics. It can be driven by a relatively low voltage

Piezoelectric Ceramics

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1958
The discovery of piezoelectric effects in electrically poled barium titanate ceramic, in the early l940, was a revolutionary contribution to the electromechanical transducer art. Since then, improved barium titanate ceramics adapted to a variety of practical needs have been developed, and a number of new piezoelectric oxide‐type compounds have been ...

Analysis on coupled vibration of piezoelectric ceramic stack with two piezoelectric ceramic elements

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2019
A longitudinally polarized piezoelectric ceramic stack with two piezoelectric ceramic elements is an important part of sandwich piezoelectric transducers. The three-dimensional coupled vibration of piezoelectric ceramic stack is analyzed. Since the longitudinal and radial dimensions of particular piezoelectric ceramic stacks are approximately equal ...

Piezoelectric relaxation studies of ferro-piezoelectric ceramics

Ferroelectrics, 1990
Abstract Measurements of amplitude and phase of the delivered piezoelectric current as a function of frequency and temperature were performed. The studied materials were ferro-piezoelectric ceramics of the PZT family and Calcium Modified Lead Titanates.

Piezoelectric Ceramic Materials

2016
Chapter is devoted to the specific material symmetry of ferroelectric ceramics. Fundamental ferroelectric properties of ceramics like texture, electric poling, hysteresis loop and operational limits are briefly described. Material properties of PZT ceramics are discussed in more details including material data for some of the commercially available ...
